I Miss You, Lauren

Check This Out

This is me in my gym class with C.

Today

This is how my day started.....I have this new trick I do: I can sit up from lying down. It's also fun to hold on to my crib and look out into my room.

Mama came in and found me like this. She said I looked super cute, like a prisoner in a really sweet, comfy, special place. I'm pretty happy because I just woke up from a good nap and it's nice to see my Mama's face.

Then we went to my last music class. We passed Shake Shack on the way. Mama said it was the shortest line she'd ever seen, so she took a picture. I guess people don't like waiting in the freezzzzzing cold weather for shakes from a shack.

This is me all bundled up in my stroller. I was half way to miserable because I had to wear so much clothing, but I knew I was going to music class and I love it there.

Guess what? My Pop Pop and my Grandma came to my class!!!! It was really fun. They sat on the floor and clapped and sang with me.

I'll keep posting, so keep checking back.

It's Been A While!!!

Hi Friends,
I guess I should say sorry for not posting in a while. We've all been busy AND we've all had a cold. This hasn't been fun for anyone. Dada is really sick now and I keep waking up in the night because I have a cough. Also, my Uncle Dan had an engagement party this weekend and Mama and Dada were really busy.

Today, I went to visit my friend, Charlotte, at her work. She gave me lots of fun stuff and let me sit on the floor and play with it all!

Then, Mama took me home and made me take a long nap. It stinks when she does that. I stayed awake, playing in my crib, but then I gave in and fell asleep for two whole hours. When I woke up we went food shopping for dinner. Mama bought me squash and Dada shrimp. The funnest part was seeing Uncle Dan!

I'll keep posting, so keep checking back.

Fridays Are Fun

Today I turn 8 months old! Mama took me to music class where I got to play the drums and had so much fun.

On the way there we saw these men working in Madison Square Park.

They were putting these amazing creatures into the ground.

There were some creatures that were living in the dirt in big cement pots.

Mama said they were called plants and there are lots of them and they come in all different shapes and sizes just like people. Then she took a picture of this fountain, because she loves fountains.

Then, we took the W train.

We met Dada at our friend, Josh's, restaurant, Lure Fishbar. Mama and Dada say it is so yummy there but I can't eat any of the yummy yet.

We all walked home together after lunch. As a special treat, Dada held me in his arms for part of the way.

It really was a special day.

I'll keep posting, so keep checking back.

Kenzie Poo: Kenzie's Nursery

This little girl's room gives me nursery envy. Tell Mama to step up her decorating game. I want that rocking chair.

Going to Preschool!!!

I had my first day at preschool on Monday. It was also my Grandma's birthday, so it was pretty special all around.
This is a picture of me on the 6 train.

We got off on 59th Street - the Bloomingdales stop. My grandma LOVES their frozen yogurt. I can't wait until she takes me there on yogurt dates.

When we got off we had to use this really lonnnggg moving staircase to get out.

Then we saw this guy.

Mama told me he won the first season of The Apprentice.
YOU'RE FIRED!

We went to visit Mama's good friend, V, in her classroom.

I think she'll be my friend too. She was so nice to me and gave me two cool books.

One had an Elmo puppet inside the book. He can clap and sing and gives me kisses, but only when Mama reads it to me.

This one actually sings songs to me. I don't need any help from my adults to do it.

I'll keep posting, so keep checking in.

My Date With The Yankees

I'm sorry to my readers if you feel sad that I haven't written. I had a busy week. Here is my adventure from last Friday.

Well, it wasn't really a date, more like an appointment. And, it wasn't really with the Yankees, more like with my doctor. See, Mama made an appointment for me to get a shot and it just so happened that the Yankees won the WORLD SERIES (this made Dada and Aunt TT and GG very happy) and had a big parade basically in between my house and my doctor's office. Mama had to fight the crowds to get me through.

These are some of the people who were in the crowd.

It looked like a sea of blue and white.

More crowds.

Mama needed help to get through the barricades like this one. These people were very nice to me and Mama, but they couldn't let us through because they were just doing their job.

Mama had to ask this policeman for help.

We took this picture after he carried my stroller over all the people waiting to see the NY Yankees. Somehow he had my rattle in his pocket. Some people said mean things, but Mama just held me close and defending the nice policeman. Mama kept saying everything was okay, even though there were a lot of people around me. I knew I was safe. Then we said goodbye to the nice policeman and he gave me back my rattle.

Finally, we made it here.

I felt like a pretty big girl after my big adventure through the blue and white sea; I drank from my bottle all by myself.

Then Grandma met us and gave me the rest of my bottle (it's better when she gives it to me).

I'll keep posting, so keeping checking in.

Frankie Sings!!!!!

Wow. Tonight has been busy and I am posting AGAIN!!! C just sent this to Mama. Today was so fun because C's daughters P & M came with her to my house today because they didn't have to go to school. They took this video of me on the swings. Notice how I get them to sing by singing my Dada's name????

I'll keep posting, so keep checking in.

PS 22 Chorus

Butternut Squash Puree

Check out my friend, Catherine, making butternut squash puree and my friend, Chloe, eating it. My mama made me some this week, too. It is delicious. Have your mom add some spices, like cinnamon to it. It makes even yummier.

A Visit with a Bear

I had a visit with a Bear and his lovely lady yesterday. I love my hat! C gave it to me as a special present when she knew me for one month. She's real nice.

The Bear showed me a sort of scary face.

All I wanted to do was eat it. Yum.

After my visit, my grandma took me and Mama and A out to dinner. We had fun and I partied late. On my way home I fell asleep in my cozy stroller.

I'll keep you posted, so keep checking in.

Sunday in Brooklyn

Before my parents took my to Brooklyn on Sunday, I crawled (backward) for the first time. This is a picture just after it happened. I wasn't exactly happy because I bumped into that green pillow. I just wanted Mama to pick me up.

Mama and Dada took me to Brooklyn yesterday. We ate at this really cool place called Vinegar Hill House. We ate with Dada's old friends and their cool kids L & S. They all loved it.

Hmmm...L's headband looks like it will be tasty and feel good on my new little teeth.

SCORE.

We were sitting downstairs near the fireplace and I got fussy so Mama took me for a walk around the neighborhood. It was cold so she wrapped me in her special blanket and took me to see a special place. There is a house on a street named Little that is a mystery. Can anyone solve it?

I'll keep you posted, so keep checking in.

Yesterday Was a Bad Hair Day

No photos please. When it rains it is no fun. Everything gets wet and my hair gets crazy. A girl can not let herself be photographed looking wild.

Today is a new day. Dry and with a list of fun activities.

I'll keep you posted, so keep checking in.

Out in the Big City

Today was cold, but Mama has this great blanket that she wraps around me when we go outside. She told me that when she was my size her mama used to put in over her carriage.

We did a lot of fun outside stuff today. First we went to the eye doctor.

Now Mama can see better. That's probably good because she drives me around a lot.

Then we took a long walk to my music class. Here's what I saw along the way.

Those look like dogs, like Bear & Beulah, but I wonder why they are in a this lady's purse instead of an leashes. They were little and cute just like me.

Cool hats. I want one.

Hey, that's a BIG pumpkin.

These men were cooking a giant pig in the middle of the street.

This is where I take music class. It is really fun. I especially like playing the drums. There is a cutie that I have my eye on named S.

Then we left and we rushed through Madison Square Park because Mama had to go to work. Rushing was fun because I bounced around a lot and the bumps, the bumps, the bumps, the bumps are really fun! We passed Shake Shack and Mama said now she knows when to come and avoid the line. It usually looks like a ssssnake.

I really like taking the train because I get to see lots of different things and people.

I got a little cranky on the train so Mama gave me some delicious dried mangos to suck on until we got home.

I'll keep you posted, so keep checking in.
